Hello lovely blog followers, thanks for popping by today.
I thought I would pop in and share a fun card that I made using the gorgeous Kangaroo & Company bundle. I was so excited when I saw Stampin’ Up! release this gorgeous bundle as it’s so perfect for us Aussies as the kangaroo is such an iconic creature for us.
I made this fun card for my gorgeous second cousin Harrison who is about to celebrate his first birthday.
I decided to get the Stampin’ Blends out to play and have some colouring fun.
Be sure to scroll below for a full list of the products I have used, all of which are available in my store.
Here’s a look at the finished card.
I created a fun technique by using the brush tip end of the Stampin’ Blend and brushing this directly onto some Crumb Cake cardstock to create my own striped paper.
This is a fun way to create your own striped paper in any colour in the Stampin’ Up! family.
I used the Stitched So Sweetly dies to create a beautiful Stitched Scalloped Rectangle to add as a base for my focal image to sit on.
I then used my layering circles with some Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana Cardstock as another layer. The Coastal Cabana I also embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folders to add some extra interest. I often neglect my embossing folders, so this was a fun way to drag them out.
Here’s a close up of the finished card.
The gorgeous kangaroo I have coloured in a mixture of; Crumb Cake, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green, Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
The gorgeous set comes with some matching dies to cut these images out, and the fun thing about this set is that the fun kangaroo also cuts out a pouch that you can sit the fun baby kangaroo in, how cute is that?
I have then embellished with some Gold Foil and some of that beautiful Playing with Patterns Ribbon! I also added some of the gorgeous Playing with Patterns Resin Dots in the Crushed Curry. They are adorable!
Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I kept simple with layers of Crumb Cake and Basic White, with a strip of Gold Foil.
I added some more stamping with the baby kangaroo which I have coloured with Stampin’ Blends and added another sweet sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed this little card share today and got some inspiration.
