Happy Sunday everyone!
It’s a blistery cold day here in Tasmania with our first proper sign of snow and it has closed lots of roads. It’s a great time to be inside with your craft supplies, that’s for sure!
Today I am sharing a card that I made a little while ago featuring the gorgeous Prized Peony bundle.
This bundle is actually carrying over to the new catalogue – but the beautiful Designer Series Paper that I have featured on the card as well as the Forever Gold Laser Cut pieces are not – so these are items that if you fall in love with as much as I did, you will want to grab now!
Here is a look at the finished card…
I wanted to create something with a more ‘subtle’ background so I decided to focus on our beautiful greys with some Basic Gray, Gray Granite and Smoky Slate.
I have repeatedly stamped one of the peonies on the background to create my own featured design on the background.
The large peony I have then die cut using the beautiful Melon Mambo Cardstock which I have then used a Sponge Dauber to ink around the edges of the ‘petals’ with some Melon Mambo ink to really accent those edges with a darker touch,
I have made the stamen in some Basic Black and added the leaves in Granny Apple Green, once again using a Sponge Dauber to ink the edges of these in a tone on tone look.
The sentiment I have heat embossed in white on some Basic Black Cardstock.
This sentiment is taken from the Last a Lifetime stamp set which is also one of our retiring sets.
This has been my MOST USED wedding set and I will dearly miss it as I just LOVE this sentiment I have used on this card and have made at least four wedding cards in the last year using this set.
Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the detail.
I have added in the Forever Gold Laser Cut pieces to add some beautiful gold foil to the card.
I added some of the gorgeous Peony Garden Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the card to tie in the gorgeous peony designs and it is so subtle that it doesn’t take over the card, but adds a nice ‘touch’.
I have also added some of the beautiful Gilded Gems.
Here’s a look at the inside of the card where I have added layers of Gray Granite and Basic White with some more of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper.
I have also added some more stamping from the Prized Peony Stamp Set in Gray Granite and another one of the Forever Gold Laser Cut pieces.
I hoe you enjoyed a look at this card today and a gorgeous way to make a more ‘elegant’ and ‘formal’ card used this beautiful Prized Peony bundle.
I have listed all the products I have used in today’s card share below, all of which are available in my store here.
