Tea Together ~ Mother's Day Card - Kayla Renee, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have something to share with you, that is showing how much more organised I am getting…a MOTHER’S DAY CARD!

Usually I am the night before, day of kinda girl when it comes to those much needed cards.

I did however want to get creating with this Tea Together Stamp Set and create a fun tea pot using the beautiful Best Dressed Paper. That’s what inspired this card and it just went from there!!

Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see the entire layout.

For my background behind the teapot I have used some Shimmery White Cardstock which is one of my all time favourites and I have added some watercoloring in Petal Pink to match the colours in the patterned paper. It did however come out very dark, because I did add some of the ink refill!

I have stamped the tea pot in Memento Black on a floral piece of the Best Dressed 6×6 Paper and die cut this out with the coordinating Tea Time Dies. I love how this looks and it’s super easy. Why? No colouring!!!

I actually love this layout design as it’s very easy and creates a nice well balanced layout.

Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see some of the detail.

My actual card base itself is Petal Pink, to match a lot of the accents.

I have added one of the gorgeous Best Dressed Tassels in Petal Pink and some Linen Thread.

I have added a sentiment from the coordinating stamp set and heat embossed this in white on Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut this out. It’s a super easy sentiment to fussy cut so don’t fear! I have adhered this to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Here’s a look at the decorated inside of the card which I have actually spent quite a bit of time on, I created a similar layout to the card front, adding the same DSP and wrapping with Linen Thread.

I then added a sentiment from the Tea Together Stamp Set and one of the coordinating flowers which I have coloured with Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
